Mitsuru Kirijo (桐条 美鶴) ([personal profile] iceandwhips) wrote in [community profile] bravenewstories2015-02-07 12:17 pm

Meet the Kirijos.

Okay, so, for plotting purposes, I'm going to give the condensed version of Mitsuru's AU. This'll be easy for everyone, even those that don't know what canon she's from.

The current Kirijo family consists of her grandfather Koetsu Kirijo, who is an elder on the council; her father, Takeharu Kirijo, who is the head of the Kirijo Group; her mother, Hanae Kirijo, who is in charge of charitable functions for the family; and Mitsuru herself.

Her mother's efforts for charity/donations include some funds to the Habitat, museums, theaters, talented artists and actors.

Nobles - If you want your character to have met Mitsuru at a formal function, this is okay, but please try to know what it was for and how they were introduced. (Hanae is really the most likely way, to be honest.)

Aritsts/Actors - If you want your efforts to have been supported by the Kirijo Group, either currently or previously, please let me know. They have lots of money to throw around.

Normal people - Mitsuru attends school since she's 17, but she also heads a few committees and is very busy. She likes to me people from different backgrounds, despite her intimidating appearance and will try to help as much as she can. She also fences, so there's that too.

The only person she knows for sure is Yukiko Amagi, who she is family friends with, due to business. So, I"m open to everything else.

Lenna here is a noble as well, hailing from the Tycoon family. There are a few possible connections here.

-Her father, Alexander Highwind Tycoon, is an ex-Ranger who served on the council after he retired from active duty, so he probably knew Koetsu. He's currently missing from the city under mysterious circumstances.

-The Tycoon family in general has a reputation in the city for charity for the poor, and most recently had a fundraising event around Soulfasting to benefit the poor in Union and refugees from other places. Lenna organized that one, so it's very possible Hanae was in attendance or donated on behalf of the family.

-If you're okay with Lenna and Mitsuru knowing each other personally, the most likely place for them to have been introduced is probably at the charity ball I mentioned above. At least one PC member of every noble family represented in Union at the time was there, as it turned out to be a hugely successful event.

The function was at the end of this past October. Lenna was 19 when I apped her and might be 20 by now? I never specifically headcanon'ed a birthday. But around that age.

Hello, hello! I understand that some plotting has happened with Rei so I will slide in my own Hino!

Eiji's of the same powerful Hino family as Rei and likely went to many of the same parties and functions Mitsuru might have as a child. He IS a little older than her, though. He just turned 21 this November, but he would have been wandering around the noble scene up until he graduated.

Something that her family would likely be aware of is what happened AFTER he graduated.

Eiji took up volunteer work at an orphanage that tragically caught fire and burned out the whole floor of the tower it was in. Eiji was one of the few people that survived. Afterwards his family went on to talk up how much of a hero Eiji was (which could have been construed as making themselves look good at the expense of their son, depending on how well you know the Hinos.) Eiji ran away into the wilderness after that and was gone for about a year. He lives at the shrine with Rei and doesn't have any contact with any of his family.

Most of this is public knowledge.

Eiji was also present at the Soulfasting Ball, though he was not representing the Hino family, but rather the Hikawa Shrine.

Ky is one of resident nobles, the last living member of the Kiske family, which is a branch of the Crownguard family (another Council member). He's also one of the commanders for the Swords of the Saviors.

So they would definitely had met during many of the formal functions - particularly fundraisers for orphans.

Collecting Teacups, seeing everyone's happy faces (Seriously, that's in his canon biography). He's also interested in maintaining his skills in swordplay, cooking and having the odd philosophical conversations.

Yes, it would be quite likely they would from that.

First off, I am good with agonizing their test drive if you like.

Second, there's probably a good chance the Kirijos might have sponsored Rise at some point when she worked for ACE, but she's looking to get back on the radio in a more independent way and independent patronage might be an interesting way to do that...
