Character Name: Dist Ortion
Canon Name: Tales of the Abyss
Brief History: Dist is a man who can't let go of the past. Everything he does is to bring his dead teacher back to life. Literally. He's ruthless and intelligent, but he's also a comic relief villain who's very egotistical and self-centered.

AU Ideas: Dist is still very much the same (egotistical comic relief villain who wants to revive his teacher), but he's a member of the Swords of the Savior and uses his position of power to scope out people who might have powers that could assist in his research. He's trying to create an illusion of Nebilim, the woman he so desperately wants to bring back, so he's looking for Ghost- and/or Psychic-types.
Looking For: There's really nothing I don't want! I'd love to find people for Dist to manipulate, but I'm just as open to people insulting him and making fun of his ridiculousness. I'd definitely love to have him form some positive relationships with other science-y types though!

Not ghost or psychic but -- Melaka's got a dead twin brother (well he became a vampire in canon so I left it open ended in case anyone wanted to app him or anything but details ssh) and an older guardian/sibling (again, open ended in case anyone wanted to app that) in the Swords she is now not on speaking terms with. These two facts combine to me liking the idea of her becoming a gopher of sorts for Dist an a sort of side job. Not sure how long she would tolerate all the ridiculous per se? But. There's potential.

Oh yes, he'd definitely want to be involved with that! He'd definitely be interested in a combat drug, so being one of the scientists involved would make sense!

Want to work with Flemming as a co-owner of an engineering group?

Flemming is less villain in this AU but it would be so much fun to see them manipulate each other.

Ooh, that would be amazing! Dist is a part of the Swords, so he'll be busy with that most of the time, but when he's not doing that he can definitely work with the Engineers!

I'm not familiar with Flemming, unfortunately, but I'd definitely like to do something with these two!

I'm equally not familiar with Dist, but if it helps, when a friend was telling me about Abyss she described Dist as a fantasy version of Flemming.

If you're familiar with the standard Metal Gear, imagine an even more clingy, evil version of Otacon and you have Flemming. In canon Flemming did all sorts of terrible experiments and while he didn't do them in the AU, he wouldn't be opposed to them at all.

Oh man, that sounds awesome! They can perform awful experiments together! So they'd probably already know each other, but they can definitely work together on awful experiments in the future!

Character Name: Logan
Canon Name: Fable III
Brief History: In canon he's the king of Albion, a nation on the verge of war against the coming threat of darkness. Literally. Logan can't tell anyone about the coming threat though because no one would believe him, meaning that he looks like a tyrant king for no reason. He has a little sister he loves dearly, but he has an awful way of showing it (like making her choose between her best friend and a group of protesters, whoever she chooses dies). He's paranoid and anxious and prone to fits of rage where he executes people.

AU Ideas: Logan is the head of the Gealb'honn family, a rich and influential family who claims to be descended from the Savior. His mother and father were both Rangers who disappeared into the wilderness quite some time ago (separate incidents, however), leaving him as the head of the family. Like in canon, he has a younger sister who he loves dearly, but he may or may not have accidentally gotten her best friend killed. Whoops? He also had a run-in with a Ghost-type Pokémon while he was a Delver that scarred him (mentally, physically, and emotionally), leaving him very anxious and paranoid about... well, everything. He's currently a higher-ranking member of the City Guard, but he was a Delver for quite some time before he was attacked and nearly killed.

Looking For: Everything and anything, but especially people Logan would have reason to know already! Other Delvers (possibly people who he used to work with, he kind of quit without saying why), other City Guard, or even other people from rich families he might have met as a child would all be good! He's also extremely wary around Ghost-type Enlightened, so that could be very fun to play out!

As I said with his sister character, Duke was from a fairly well off family, but now he mostly lives in the researcher's ... research rooms now. He might have met Logan, as Duke is a couple years older than him (by guessing from ages-) ages ago.

And he just looks oddly creepy, honest! He's psychic/steel, being pale, red eyed and white haired is just. awkward genetics.

I have a psychic (/steel) type who is a researcher? Kinda sciency type, he's really good at figuring out what different metals are and whatnot by touch-

For manipulating, Duke would probably be "that's interesting, but I suck at that part.
