This is an open testrun meme. Posts here may be used in lieu of a sample entry for any applications. For your convenience, we've provided a few prompts, but feel free to make your own!

1. Team Evolution is looking to set up a new machine test near Union. Are you here to help? Stop them? Observe?

2. A day at the races! Today in the Rhyhorn track, it's a complex course with several barricades, vertical climbs, and downhill slopes. Are you a racer? Spectator? What brings you here this fine day?

3. You're out exploring, be it at sea, or perhaps expanding into new, uncharted territories. Where are you? What are you doing?

4. Pokemon Battle! Perhaps it's training, perhaps you're protecting something important, perhaps you're striking out against something vile. Why are you in this fight and what are you doing?

5. Wildcard! Invent a prompt!

[Rikk and Flaque... keep on running, not slowing for an instant. Which is good, because neither do the Zubats. She does spare a sidelong, irritable glance in the other girl's direction, though.]

What part of this looks okay?!

[ Well, the other girl was clearly okay enough to say something like that. That was good, at least. Still, those Zubats were a problem, and she couldn't seem to make heads or tails of what they were so irritated about, since all of their speech was so jumbled together ... had the girl disturbed them in some way, or was it something else? Either way, she couldn't let them keep chasing someone like that. ]

Sam, Thunder Shock on the Zubats!

[ Sam bleated in affirmation and let loose an attack on them to try and get their attention off of the girl. ]

[Rikka spins at the shout and resulting burst of electricity. Flaque does too. A few moments later. After skidding to a halt and slowly turning around.

He was a little slow on the uptake.

Regardless, the Zubats sure react to that. There is some screeching, and hissing, swirling overhead... before they pull back, retreating.

Rikka furrows her brow. Well, if it had been that easy, she could have done something before now, so that was... certainly frustrating.]

...well.

[She breathes a sigh of relief, and uselessly kicks the dirt with her foot. She's bad around strangers, and generally suspicious of them, having helped her or not.]

[ Hilda watches the Zubats as they fly back in the direction of the cave, a small, worried frown on her face as all of her attention is conveniently focused on trying to decipher what those Zubat are saying as they fly back in.

Sorry, Rikka. It's not that she means to ignore you. She just has this problem with focusing on one thing at a time sometimes. Sam the Mareep nudges Hilda with his muzzle, meanwhile, trying to get his friend's attention. He knew her long enough to know she was just ... like ... this ... most of the time. ]

[A trickle of annoyance runs across Rikka's mind, meanwhile, and she crosses her arms.

Flaque just looks confused. That's fine, that was normal.

After another moment or three, Rikka coughs. Loudly.]

Guess I'll be on my way, then, provided nothing else is going to hop out and try to kill us...

[ And now her attention is returning to Rikka. ]

Ah ... sorry about that. I was trying to hear what was upsetting the Zubats so much. They're too riled up and too far away now, though.

You're not hurt or anything, are you?

[ HAHA, and you thought you were going to leave soon! ]

[Rikka was starting to move, but now freezes in space. Crap.

She'd kind of rather she was just allowed to mosey on along.]

I think I just... stepped in the wrong place at the wrong time.

[She waves off the question.] But I'm fine. [You know, besides nearly being torn apart by a horde of wild Pokemon. That's all.]

Good to know you're okay after all of that. They sounded really upset about something.

[ She moves a little closer to the girl and her Pokemon. ]

I'm Hilda, by the way, and this is Sam. It's nice to meet you, Zubat aside.

[As Hilda starts getting closer, Rikka edges... back. She's not the most trusting of perfect strangers. With decently strong Pokemon. In the middle of the wilderness. Even if she helped her, that timing was a little convenient, and Rikka was a staunch subscriber to the term, "better safe than sorry."]

Ah... Rikka. My name's Rikka. This is Flaque.

[The Poliwag looks up, confused. Why was his name being ca-- oh! People. Riiiiight.

She smiles nervously.]

I was trying to get to the other side of this area, I'm supposed to meet someone.

[ Sorry Rikka, she's a friendly person. She does stop walking toward her, though. She may not be too bright, but she's good with people at least. ]

You're trying to meet someone? If you need some help getting through the cave, Sam and I don't mind going with you! I'm sure Eileen and Stella wouldn't mind, either.

[wisdomslight]

[...Rikka laughs woodenly. It's clearly faked, but while she may be good at many things, acting wasn't one.]

N- no, that's fine! You don't have to trouble yourself, I can just...

[Turn into Cure Diamond once you're out of the way and make a mad dash through the cave?]

...find some... other way, I'm sure!

Are you sure?

[ Man, even she can tell that laugh isn't genuine. Girl's not really all that enthusiastic about having someone else there, and she couldn't for the life of her understand why. Still, it wasn't really her place to be nosy about it, even if she wanted to be. ]

I mean, it'd probably be easier with two of us instead of going on your own.

[wisdomslight]

Well, I wouldn't want to inconvenience you or anything! [Maybe starting to sound a little more desperate.] I mean... you don't know me, and it could be a long way. That's a lot for me to ask from a stranger, right?

[Riiiiiiiiiight? ...no?]

... I don't know, is that a lot to ask?

[ She looks to Sam, who looks to her, seemingly knowing about as much about that as she does. ]

I'd rather someone be safe, really.
