So Abe is an ex-Versus player who kind of dropped off the grid for a couple of years before getting back into Pokemon training after team Evolution's visit. I think that allows for some pre-existing CR for the characters who might've participated in the tournaments and could've fought against him there, or just saw him around. He was more of an excited kid back then, though, so the change to a poker faced slightly gloomy teen might be surprising for some.

For more recent encounters: looking for a shy Torchic Shifter with self-esteem issues, preferrably named Ren. Abe has a slightly negative view of Enlightened in general and Shifters in particular, claiming them to be eccentric and impossible to understand, so anybody fitting those requirements is welcome to try and change his mind (or, alternatively, get him more aggravated. It might be fun to watch).

Abe is also 1000% invested in Pokemon training and matches, so anyone who also has an interest in it is welcome to challenge him or train together with him. He might also build CR with scientists and scholars based on his interest in Pokemon.

Haha, I'm pretty sure it does! Sadly I've never played FE myself, but what I get from your app and FE wiki info their interactions could be interesting. Abe would get super cranky at her falling asleep, too (and then probably not know what to do. His usual solution is... yelling, but yelling at girls is kinda rude. And he can't give her a noogie either. What do)

There is a distinct possibility that she falls asleep on purpose sometimes just to rile people up so we can see where that goes!
