Investigating the machine from the mountains

So we got some weird machines that pokemon don't like from the mountains. I gather that despite some of them being treated a bit roughly, most of them are more or less intact. Zarvora, being the resident expert in strange technology, is going to be experimenting with and taking some of them apart to see how they work, what they do, how they were built, etc etc. Any other tech experts or interested parties, how do we want to handle this?

I know one of the machines was recovered completely unharmed, which she'll probably be happy about.

The moment Banzu catches wind of them he's going to get himself in on examining them (not hard, since he's working at the labs already). I'm not sure how interesting a log of them taking the machines apart would be though? I feel like it might end up as a bunch of people sitting in the same room not really talking to each other because they're focused on what they're doing. I'd still like all the tech people to get a chance to interact though, if possible. Thoughts?

Probably it'd be just a group of the tech guys and girls getting together and taking the shit apart.

But taking them apart and doing what? I mean unless you want to get down into the nitty gritty of the technology, there isn't much actual content for that log.

Ultimately, the way to do it may be to give all information you receive from us to the players and roleplay out the discovery, discussion, and extrapolation on what the machines are for and what may be gleaned from them. Discussion of further technological paths may also be worthwhile, based on rewards that may come up as part of this log.

Okay so, like, if we just OOCly asked a bunch of questions in here about the machines, and then made a post where all the eggheads could be all "Eureka! I found a way to use this new machine to turn kittens into poptarts!" having gotten mod permission to do so in this post?

Well then I guess I'll start.

As I understood it, the devices consisted of a keyboard or control panel of some kind connected to a monitor and of course the actual device that sends out some kind of signal that effects pokemon but not humans. Also I guess it was battery powered. Doing fine so far?

Yep! They were all networked together as well.

Yeah, this is my concern. I want to get some CR-building between all the tech people, but it needs to be interesting to write otherwise it's not very fun.

Flemming will always poke about the other engineers and I'm definitely for it.

Ezreal wanted to do some disassembling on site but he got distracted by noble girls talking about boys or something. He's up for assisting, he is an Engineer spec so he has some knowledge.
