Let's make a secret village!

Hey everyone, Sheepy here. I've been discussing this with a few players, and with the new expansion and talk of human establishments outside of Union, this makes bringing Rydia here a lot easier.

I wanted to put out the idea to everyone, just in case people want to grab onto it. Me and a few players are looking to establish a small shifter village just outside of the the radio signal. Right now, we have a few characters lined up (Tiki from Fire Emblem, Yukari and Ran from Touhou Project), but are looking for more should people want to throw their hats in.

The village of Mist will have been destroyed about five years before the events of the game, so many of the people who are from this village will have been scattered.

I could add Moon (from the Books of the Raksura), as someone they had and then he got lost ... a while ago and is thought to be dead (to mimic canon) except.. no, he wound up at Union a couple of months ago-

The village technically got wiped out a few years back, so that would work. Rydia and Tiki have been wandering together for a while, as well as Yukari and Ran, so it's very possible that Moon got separated when the village fell and is assumed to be dead.

Oh! Okay, yes, that works. Obviously he would also think they're all dead and sad things like that. boo hoo, no family - wait you guys are really famili- OMG HI.

Jinxie isn't a Shifter, but I'm currently putting together a Squid Girl app that's almost done, so I may be interested in having her move out there once she's in.

And actually, now that I'm looking at it, I could easily tweak her backstory a bit to have had the shifter village be the ones who took her in instead of a family in Union. She would be an Inkay Shifter, for the record, and spend a lot of her time in or around water when she's not hanging out in the village proper.

I actually added something to this post about the village that you may want to read, just to make sure things work out.

Ah, hmm, that may not work out after all, then, since her story involves having crawled out of the ocean to raise a ruckus at the humans less than five years ago. If moving to the village after the fact would be a possibility, that would probably work out better, but I'm not sure if you were intending to have it grow in that way considering it's supposed to be a secret.

I do want to keep it relatively small, and relatively hidden, so I'm not sure if this would work very well.

Irvine's history is pretty well solidified in the Union, but his mother was an Absol Shifter. She could be from the village if you want to give more Shifter-bulk to it.

Sure thing! Just a note, the village would have been wiped out about five years ago, so the people living there have been scattered. I'm not sure this has much weight on what you have on mind, but that definitely works.

Nah, it wouldn't affect anything. His parents (like so many others) are conveniently dead. So that works just fine.

Just to note my own plans, Tiki will be a Salemence Shifter and will have been one of the founders of the village long, long ago. Her powers will have degenerated just like in canon, meaning she'll be back to Bagon level, but she will have been acting mayor of the village when it was destroyed.

As a note, if anybody's planning on apping a child from Mist, Ran and Yukari will be entering Union with a small army of them in tow if you want to be part of that group.

Erik Hakkonsen I was actually going to have be from some weird clan of outsiders who live out in the wilds doing who knows what. He's not a shifter, but his clan might have heard about them.

Sure, that could work! He'd also know that they just kind of disappeared off the map about five years ago. No one outside of the village really knows why.

Possible 2nd character here, but I do have ideas for Himeno here being a Ponyta Shifter and she grew up in Mist with her family, which scattered after the village destruction and she find her way to Union on her parents' request while they search for the rest of her family.

Still planning her app, but just want to throw my ideas out here if anyone wants relations to a teenage Ponyta shifter (canonly, she's a centaur so it's perfect) and her family.

How old is she? We could always have her and Rydia be friends, since they seem around the same age.

She's around 16, so friends are always good!

Moon here is going to be a shiny Noibat shifter (who probably ought to be a noivern by now, but maybe something along the lines of "hasn't spent enough time as a human" is why he's still tiny and fluffy a noibat)

Thinking he probably wandered into camp around 25, having been from a small destroyed colony of noibats, lived with them for the ten years until Mist got destroyed, and has reverted to bad habits of pretending to be a pokemon (until he wanders too close to Union and gets found by people-) if that works :|a
