Given the nature of AU, below is a form that can be used for planning purposes when plotting out your character. While it is not required to fill out the form, we encourage you take a look at the listings in this post and use them as a guide when setting up plots or planning character backgrounds.

Character Name: Atsuro Kihara
Canon Name: Devil Survivor
Brief History: A relatively average highschooler with an interest (and a senpai) in coding who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time (which is also the right place and the right time) while hanging out with his friends during summer vacations. Trapped in a lockdown with demons, he does his best to help people, lift the party's spirits and follow his protagonist best friend to world salvation (or destruction).

AU Ideas: While most of his childhood went as normal, Atsuro was a little alienated in school for the most part. He made up for it by developing an interest in SCIENCE and befriending some of the city's researchers (possibly acquaintances of his parents'). Even after his parents going missing, he remains devoted to his interests and goals of ~helping humanity~ with his research. He also becomes really close to Mari and Kaido, who end up taking care of him after his parents go missing.

Thanks to the same event, some people might know him (two of the city's researches disappearing probably would've gathered at least some attention), even if not personally.

Looking For: Possibly people who would actually share his passion for learning and research. It would also be interesting to see someone who does share it... but for darker or more selfish reasons. Anyone who can come into moral conflict with him is interesting, too, especially with his tendency to be a little too understanding and accepting of people. As for events, I'm definitely looking forward to anything that involves exploration or danger! I don't really have much preference otherwise to be honest, I am just generally excited to play here.

So I have two little brainiacs in my arsenal, I guess it depends upon the flavor of nerd you're looking for. Lux here is more of a book learner, although lately she's been trying to get involved in anything and everything she possibly can. Sophie is an engineer type who slaps weird unrelated things together and makes them work and is super eccentric. Sooo, take your pick!

I think Atsuro and Lux would probably become pretty good friends (or maybe friendly rivals, in a ~scientific~ sense), so I'm definitely all up for them meeting at one point! Meanwhile Sophie sounds quiiite a bit like Atsuro's canon mentor/inspiration in coding, who comes up with pretty bizarre ideas for energy sources and is about as eccentric as you can get, for a number of reasons. So it's quite possible Sophie will gain an admirer (and I will probably laugh forever)

It's going to be hilarious. Hopefully Sophie will come up with a way to respond to all the excited MISS SOPHIE greetings he throws her way every time. Also eventually she could probably get used to it and rope him into helping with her projects (if Atsuro doesn't end up proposing it first).
