If she hangs around where the engineers and researchers work after recovering things, she could meet Duke! He's psychic/steel, a researcher, and probably one of those people she could bug into sparing with her (his Pokemon would probably help, she thinks he spends too much time inside anyway-)

I would offer from sorta upperclass acquaintance (his family wasn't horribly upper class, but was still rather well off-), but I don't know if it would be more than YOU HAVE A LOT OF WHITE HAIR, THAT SEEMS REALLY FAMILIAR FOR SOME REASON (he's 38 currently-)
