AU PLANNING MEME

Given the nature of AU, below is a form that can be used for planning purposes when plotting out your character. While it is not required to fill out the form, we encourage you take a look at the listings in this post and use them as a guide when setting up plots or planning character backgrounds.

Character Name: Mami Tomoe
Canon Name: Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Brief History: In canon, Mami is a magical girl who hunts monsters called Witches. She is an unfortunate young woman who conned by Kyubey, a strange immortal creature, into giving up her humanity -- and eventually becoming a Witch. She never learns that (...in the main timeline). She is cheerful, elegant, and confident outwardly, but this hides a deep sense of loneliness.

AU Ideas: Mami is a Valkyrie from Citadel in BNW's world. Like canon, her parents died when she was young; she joined the Valkyries instead of going into being a scholar, diplomat, or performer. She is an ace Valkyrie, who has won a reputation for being quite fast and effective; she is something of a rising star among the Valkyries, so people may have heard of her. If you lived in or around Citadel, you might have heard of Mami.

Also, Mami is eighteen instead of fifteen to keep her (somewhat) older girl thing for the setting.
Looking For: Friends! Also younger girls that she can look after. Enemies too! And people she can bake and sip tea with.

Obviously CR with Mami and Lux is an absolute must, and we need to figure out how to make that happen, but it's very likely that Sanae's heard of her as well. She's a priestess of the tree, so has lived a very sheltered life. She does, however, have a lot of respect for the Valkyries, and may have a bit of a senpai crush on her as a result. MAMI'S SO COOL OKAY?

Mami will look after her and be her friend and the best big sister ever. And look after her kohai because of course she does. And they're on the same team for the event!

She also definitely needs to meet Lux! Maybe in the aftermath of the event, however that plays out? If there are gatherings or parties, Mami will go.
