Hey all, Sheepy here!

So I mentioned this on a Plurk before, but I thought I'd put it here. With the newly discovered tropical islands off the coast, I think we need our first formal beach episode. Generally, my thought is have it be primarily free-form, with the possibility for people to find Pokemon (upon mod approval, of course; I'll be putting up a plotting thread shortly).

This is a general interest gathering post. I know that some people have said that they would be all over this, but if you could comment here so we have more proper numbers, I'd appreciate it!

AU Planning Meme - March

Given the nature of AU, below is a form that can be used for planning purposes when plotting out your character. While it is not required to fill out the form, we encourage you take a look at the listings in this post and use them as a guide when setting up plots or planning character backgrounds.

Testrun Meme - March

This is an open testrun meme. Posts here may be used in lieu of a sample entry for any applications. For your convenience, we've provided a few prompts, but feel free to make your own!

1. Team Evolution is looking to set up a new machine test near Union. Are you here to help? Stop them? Observe?

2. A day at the races! Today in the Rhyhorn track, it's a complex course with several barricades, vertical climbs, and downhill slopes. Are you a racer? Spectator? What brings you here this fine day?

3. You're out exploring, be it at sea, or perhaps expanding into new, uncharted territories. Where are you? What are you doing?

4. Pokemon Battle! Perhaps it's training, perhaps you're protecting something important, perhaps you're striking out against something vile. Why are you in this fight and what are you doing?

Ruins Exploration Results

So, some time ago, Jinxie and Maya went on a little expedition to explore the Ruins area.  The log has finally wrapped up, so this is just a quick OOC post to summarize some of the things they found while they were down there.  There were quite a few interesting cave paintings and also a message written in a form of writing neither of them had ever seen before.  Jinxie and Maya both took notes and tried to reproduce the pictures as best they could, but for the sake of clarity, here are some links to the comments in question with the pertinent info (ignore the reply dialogs, I just linked it this way so the entire thread below the comments in question weren't being displayed every time):

Jinxie would have provided copies of the notes she and Maya took to the scholars at the university and the scientists at the laboratory in Union, just in case any of them would have had anything else to say about any of it.  There's also some old writing to decipher, and the meaning of the cave paintings to consider.  The notes include Jinxie's own best guess, which is that the paintings are depicting the creator of the world creating three powerful Pokemon guardians to watch over it, who were in turn feared and then enslaved by the humans.

Additionally, the instructions for TM92: Trick Room were discovered on their way out of the ruins, so that's now available for general use by the citizens of the city just like the TMs that were unlocked following the earthquake event.  Jinxie and Maya also have the Root and Claw Fossils at this point, but per the mods, those won't come into play until later, as there's currently no way to revive Pokemon fossils.

Anyway, that's it!  Just for the record, anyone who works at or is otherwise associated with with the university or laboratory is pretty much free to assume they've seen these notes for purposes of future roleplay, since they were freely handed over.
